Sequence Memory: learn through an example

Bring your attention to one round of Sequence Memory. Repeat every shown position in order. A wrong position ends the current session. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Try a more deliberate round

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Make the next step deliberately.

Your goal

Repeat every shown position in order. A wrong position ends the current session. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Try to explain the aim in your own words.

How a round unfolds

  1. Choose Start again to begin.
  2. Watch each highlighted pad without clicking.
  3. When the game says Your turn, tap the pads in the same order.
  4. A correct sequence leads to a longer round.

Getting comfortable with the controls

Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch. Read a button’s label before selecting it. A new-round button replaces the current round.

A useful example

For a sequence 2, 7, 2, tap pad 2, then 7, then 2 again. Repeated positions still count. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Take a moment to compare.

Check this before moving on

The task is to remember order, not just which pads appeared. Compare the situation with the worked example. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
